Welcome to my Journey

I know this is a really cliché title, but it’s true. This is the start of my journey to discovering what my true interests are. Yeah, it’s really scary. In fact, I’m terrified while I’m writing this. But I’m a junior in college and it’s about time I start to discover what I truly enjoy.

Right now, at this moment, my true interest is beauty/skincare. It’s not just the products, but it’s about self-care and about expressing who you truly are. And I’m not only interested in the products and what it can do, but I’m also interested in how these companies market their products. How are they able to get these products out to the public and make them so popular? How do they get influencers to talk about the products? And if they get influencers to mention their products and really praise it, are they being honest?

Many companies will say that their product is the best thing that has been made. For example, some beauty brands say that their foundations offer a flawless, airbrush finish. Some will say that it will give you full coverage and hide any blemishes you are trying to hide. Some skincare companies will say how their products will improve the complexion of your skin, how it can get rid of the acne scars. But at the end of the day, I always wonder, is what these companies say even true? Do these products really work? Will these products actually help my skin?

Have any of us thought about home remedies? We know that if we're to get products from companies that sell dermatologist-approved products, we could possibly get the results we are looking for. But what if we used things that are in our kitchen? Like pineapple juice, aloe vera, or tomatoes to help with acne scars? Or papaya to help with skin complexion?

Skincare and beauty is something I've been interested in since I got into high school. Just the whole process of makeup and taking care of your skin. It has always intrigued me and I want to continue growing the interest of that. I want to learn so much more about it and learn a few tricks if possible. I'll admit my makeup techniques aren't that good and my skin isn't even nice. I have acne and acne scars like every normal girl. But I don't want that to stop myself from pursuing this interest and seeing if I can grow a passion from this and hopefully maybe even a career.

This is my journey to see if I can answer my own questions about my own interests and to learn new things along the way. I already have some ideas on what I want to try and what I also want to talk about so those posts will be coming up real soon. But I really hope people will follow my journey and learn something with me along the way.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for skincare or beauty products that they would like for me to try just fill out a contact form and I will definitely look into it!

Talk to you soon!
XOXO -
